FEMALE COMPOSERS
On the 10th of March, Ginka Uchkova and Lieselotte van Tol will perform a special program by exclusively female composers.
During the concert you will listen to songs by Clara Schumann, Fanny Mendelssohn, Alma Mahler, Pauline Viardot and Mina Efremova.
In this concert, the musicians also put two well-known Dutch composers in the spotlight.
Bertha Frensel Wegener- Koopman with her song cycle “Love songs” and two beautiful melodies by the composer and pianist Henriëtte Bosmans on texts by Adriaan Roland Holst and André Verdet. The young Bulgarian composer Mina Efremova has written a special piece for the concert based on texts by one of the biggest Bulgarian poets Peyo Yavorov.
Although they were successful and widely known as musicians, they have not always received the recognition they deserve.
Come and experience the beautiful music of the female composers, written with such love and tenderness.
The concert will take place on March 10 at 2.00 PM in Willem Twee Toonzaal at Prins Bernhardstraat 4 in
's-Hertogenbosch.

TEMPEL SONGS
Ginka Uchkova, soprano, and Nadezhda Petrova pianist, would like to invite you to a special concert.
You will have the opportunity to listen to a rarely performed song cycle "Vijf Tempelzangen" by the Dutch composer Johanna Bordewijk - Roepman, which was commissioned by the Dutch government in 1950. Beautiful lyrics from poems by G.A. van Klinkenberg, Pierre Franssen, Jacques Schreurs, Clemens van der Straeten and Simon Vestdijk.
Songs from "Biblické piesne" (biblical songs) Op.99 by Antonín Dvořák, which are based on psalms from the Bible will also be performed in Czech.
Songs from the cycle "Hermit songs" and a beautiful, modern aria from the very seldom sung cantata "Prayers of Kierkegaard" by the American composer Samuel Barber.
Kaddish form the song cycle "Deux mélodies hébraïques" by Maurice Ravel and a moving prayer in French by Francis Poulenc.
The concert will take place in the Blue hall of the community center in Yambol, Bulgaria on 29th of June at 18:30.

AFGZEGEZD
WINTERREISE
A unique musical and visual rendition of Schubert's most popular song cycle “Winterreise” will be performed.
on Sunday afternoon, 21st of November by the soprano Ginka Uchkova, the pianist Alexander Chater and the visual artist Samaneh Gharibnezhad.
In the 24 songs, based on poems by Wilhelm Müller, the composer Franz Schubert takes you on an emotional journey of a young man in search of inner peace after being rejected by his love. He travels through a wintry landscape battling feelings of loneliness, tormented and haunted by memories of his lost love.
The concert will take place at the music school Art4U in Veldhoven, Bossebaan 60.

SLAVIC CLASSICAL SONGS
In honor of the Saints Cyril and Methodius and the Day of Slavic Writing and Culture, Yambol Municipality and Art Gallery "Geroge Papazov" organise the concert "Slavic Classical Songs" which will be presented in Bulgaria on 10th of May at 17:30 in Yambol city.

MUSICAL PARALLEL NL BG
Ginka Uchkova and Aleksandra Dicheva share a great passion for contemporary music and took the opportunity to explore the works of the Dutch composers in 20th century and to present them to the Bulgarian public.
The programme includes works by Johanna Bordewijk - Roepman, Willem Pijper and Joep Franssens. Their works are performed in Dutch. In parallel to that works by the Bulgarian composers Parashkev Hadjiev, Ivan Spassov and David Kokonchev will be performed.
The concert will take place on 13 May, 2018 at 11:00 in Yambol, Bulgaria. Location is the Blue Hall of the local cultural center (str. Georgi Rakovski, 20, Yambol, Bulgaria).
MIXING "SOGNO" AND "PORTA"
The mixing of the two songs composed by Stefano Bocconi has finally begun.
ICH HABE GENUG 82A BACH
Ginka Uchkova makes her debut in Bach's "Ich habe genug" cantata Nr.82a in her hometown Yambol, in Bulgaria. It is a huge honour and privilege for her to be part of the 50th anniversary of the Chamber orchestra of the city.
The performance is on 1st of October at 11:30, House of Culture "Bezisten"
THE LITTLE THAT LASTS
New roof terrace performance is on its way.
"The Little That Lasts" composed by Stefano Bocconi consists of four scenes for 3 voices, violin, acoustic guitar and double bass. The story represents three main characters: the Ocean, the Desert and the Forest which are fighting with each other in the first two scenes and through Love, Intelligence and Kindness (in the next two scenes) they find a way to get along with each other.
The story makes the point that
Kindness is the little that we need to achieve a long lasting peaceful and balanced relationships with the others.
Visual mapping will compliment the live music.
The performance is on Saturday 23th of September at 21:00, Prince Hendrikkade 82A in Amsterdam, free entrance.
STABAT MATER PERGOLESI AND D'ASTORGA
Ginka Uchkova makes her debut in "Stabat Mater"- Pergolesi
The first, little-performed, Stabat Mater is from the Spanish-Italian 'self-made composer' Emanuele d'Astorga. He composed the piece of music that was very popular in the 19th century. The second Stabat Mater is by Giovanni Pergolesi. KGZ De Volharding sings this melodic Stabat Mater in a performance for a four-voice choir by Desmond Ratcliffe.
Both Stabat Maters are accompanied by the Baroque Orchestra Concerto Barocco with soloists: Soprano: Ginka Uchkova, Alt: Louise Rijs, Tenor: Maarten Stevens and Bass Bariton: Wim Ritzerfeld. Conductor: Leo Smeets.
The concert is on Sunday April 2 at 3 pm in the Nicolaaskerk in Valkenswaard. The entrance fee is 12.50 euro.

RE FUSE is an avant-garde glossy that hijacks the traditional language of fashion magazines. Re|fuse Magazine wants to give back dignity to the people who left behind their scarce and wet belongings at the shores of the Mediterranean.
Alive performance by an opera singer, composer and trance producer Ginka Uchkova (Gi.U.) will accompany the installation.
